Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Cordero completed her undergraduate and veterinary studies at Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She continued her advanced training at OSU, completing a Ph.D. in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences. Following graduation, she relocated to the DFW area to practice small animal medicine. In September 2016, Dr. Cordero became the owner of Bartonville Veterinary Center.

At home, she and her husband, Chris, share their life with an American Staffordshire Terrier mix named Luna. In their spare time, they enjoy supporting local restaurants, traveling, and gardening. Dr. Cordero also loves reading, horseback riding, and tending to her flock of chickens.

Dr. Cordero is deeply committed to her team and the community. She is passionate about keeping neighborhood pets healthy while delivering an exceptional client experience. As a bilingual veterinarian, she especially enjoys connecting with Spanish-speaking clients to provide the highest quality medicine and care.
