Dr Susan Weisser was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and lived all over the world in a military family. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Science and received her DVM from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr Weisser moved to the DFW area to begin her veterinary career. Dr Weisser has a wide range of experience gained from her many years of small animal medicine and surgery. In addition to working full time at her own practice for 25 years, she remained on staff at a small animal emergency clinic.
Dr Weisser volunteers and fosters for many local rescue groups including Ranch Hand Rescue, North Texas Boxer Rescue, Apollo and Happy Dance Dog Rescue. She is on the Board of Directors of Cross Timbers Equestrian Trail Association. He personal menagerie includes Bea, the boxer from NTBR, Chiquita the chihuahua from Apollo Rescue and various adoptable puppies from Happy Dance Dog Rescue.
When not working at Bartonville Veterinary Center, she may be found working on her farm and taking care of her four mules Neena, Lilly, Reba, and Sedge (the retired USFS pack mule) or riding the trails!
